How to get horrible stains out of evening gowns

If you have ever spilled anything on your evening gown, you know that it will cost you an arm and a leg to get it dry-cleaned at which point there is no guarantee that they will get all of the stains out.  I don’t generally spend a lot of money on my evening gowns since I have many connections in the garment district and can easily purchase my gowns at 90 percent off the retail price which means I can’t spend  much on dry cleaning, it just wouldn’t be worth it.  In that case, I decided to get creative with products, both natural and synthetic to tackle the stains.  I bought natural products from wholefoods and made my own with baking soda and vinegar, as well as used hydrogen peroxide.  What surprised me more than anything was that since today most of the gowns are made of polyester, I didn’t have to go through so much trouble.  These gowns, the polyester ones, wash beautifully in the machine or by hand.  I don’t recommend the machine if it has beaded work since the beads might unravel, and the best stain remover, pretreating with shout or tide.  My gowns smelled wonderful, were stain-free, and I didn’t have to make any trips to the cleaners.  The only time I recommend the cleaners is when your material has wool, wool blend, silk, or cashmere.  Those you have no choice but to dry clean, all others, feel free to wash!!!

I started this blog because I love to share stories. I am always seeking adventure. My goal is to inspire my readers. I love to share ideas and hope to get feedback from all of you. What I know for sure is that I love way too many things. I change my mind quite often and I live to try new experiences.
